Baduba CEO Gains Valuable Insights at AfCFTA Training Accra, Ghana
Mrs. Theresa Brown, CEO of Baduba, recently participated in a transformative training program titled “How to Export with AfCFTA,” organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC), African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and ECOWAS Commission. The program aimed to equip African businesses with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The two-day intensive training brought together experts from various organizations, including the AfCFTA Secretariat, NCO, GEPA, Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Ghana Cocoa Board, Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) Ghana, and Ecobank. These experts provided invaluable insights into the complexities of exporting within the African market, highlighting challenges and offering practical solutions.
Mrs. Brown joined a cohort of influential businesswomen, including fellow OWIT members Pearl Naheema Hanson of Sahara Solace, Francisca Djokoto of Nature’s Beauty, Christabel Ofori of Flocare Beauty, and Awura Abena Agyeman of WEAR Ghana. This collective experience fostered valuable networking opportunities and a shared commitment to African business growth.
The training equipped Mrs. Brown with a deeper understanding of the AfCFTA’s potential to expand Baduba’s market reach. She is optimistic about the opportunities to showcase Ghanaian fashion and craftsmanship on a global stage.
